Despite being the biggest town in England, Reading is not particularly well known, famous mainly for its music festival held towards the end of summer each year. But this bustling hotspot boasts great connections by road, with not one but two junctions sitting on the M4 motorway and a large mainline railway station a little over 30 minutes outside of London.
With the rivers Thames and Kennett converging here, there are certainly picturesque places to explore and plenty of waterside pubs and bars in which to enjoy a sunny afternoon drink before meeting up with your Active Giggles rep.
Around the centre of town, you’ll find restaurants of every shape and size and to suit all budgets. And a great mixture of cocktail bars, clubs and music venues to keep you entertained so the party can continue after dark. Head to Lola Lo or Q to dance the night away, Smash for pizza and Ping Pong or Purple Turtle for cool live music.
All in all, you’ll have a day and night to remember.
